First off, my cards are mixed up and I am explaining this because you will see why below!

Six of Cups

This card was pulled upright.  In this card, we have six cups filled with flower and fruit. The one cup that is filled with fruit is held by a man and a lady is taking one out.

This card looks friendship and giving.

The book says: Friendship. Play. Remembering past happiness and childlike innocence. Renewal. Nostalgia. Pleasant Company. Reminiscing with old friends. Drawing strength from shared experiences. Being understood and appreciated. Teamwork. Taking pleasure in simple, wholesome activities and surroundings. Seeing the good life.

Four of Cups Pulled upright

In this card a girl is sitting on the edge of the river. And in it there is 3 cups on one side of the river and above her is a cup hanging from the tree.

She seems to contemplating an issue or at loss.

The book says: Discontent and isolation. Feeling at a loss as to what can be done to improve a situation. Doubt. melancholy. A disenchanting experience. Disgust. Can also indicate being fussy. Having to deal with naysayers. Not recognizing what one has. It is an encouraging card, indicating help that seems to be divine intervention ensuring one has all the cups one needs.

Eight of cups Pulled upright

In this card a lady is looking away, there is is eight cups in this card. And she is staring at the lake with a staff in her right hand.

She looks as if she is turning her back on something.

Book meaning: Turning away. Giving up. Finding that something or someone was not a healthy influence. River run dry. Choosing to sacrifice in order to make a clean break and start fresh elsewhere. Abandoning a dream. Changing directions. The dawn of something new. A quest with heart. Bravery. Heeding the call.

Queen of Wands Pulled upright

This card has a queen, sitting on her throne in a field with a sunflower in one hand and wand in the other.

She reminds me of someone being confindent and in charge. Someone who is very proud of herself for what she has done in life.

The book says: An intelligent woman with a warm heart. She is admired for being self made, having earned her standing in the world by way of her own hard work and talents. This experience makes her sensitive to the struggles of others she finds worthy. Courage, conviction, high ideals. A woman who stimulates and teaches those around her. A person of intellectual influence. Politics and education. While she enjoys luxuary, she values accomplishment and attempts to leave her mark on society.

Today’s pulled card is Ten of Pentacles, it was pulled upright. I love the picture in  this card.  There is a little girl sitting on a table with a pentacle behind her. And another lady is handing the little girl an apple. It is like everyone is in a courtyard. There are people talking in the background. Another child on a horse. And a huge banner holding the other 9 pentacles. An apple tree is in the picture too.

I feel this card represents enjoying life. Giving. Freedom.

The true meaning per the book is this : Freedom from financial concerns. Prosperity. Strong, established family setting. Protection and stability within a clan. Family traditions, gatherings. Having the time to enjoy the fruits of one’s labor. Achieving of worldly dreams. Benefiting from the work of one’s predecessors. Gifts, inheritance, archives. Celebrations and reunions.

Today I picked the Initiate of Chalices. This card was pulled right side up. There is a lady wearing a robe holding a chalice. She is looking at the chalice. There are elk in the background. She seems to be with nature. I feel really calm looking at this card. It makes me feel like things are fine and the day is going to be fine.
Card Meaning: The maturity of emotions.
Definently different from what I was thinking it was! But seems I always pull this card on the day I go to Feelings Management Class.

Today I pulled the 5 of Wands. Upright. This card has several people that are in robes, walking around, looking for something in a field. Perhaps they have lost something? This card for some reason made me feel very confused about it when I pulled it. I was not really sure how I was to feel about it.
The Meaning of the card is :Wasted Energies.
I am not sure if this is a hidden meaning for me. I have alot of energy today. And I really was confused as I am not sure if I am really wasting my energies?

Today I pulled the 9 of Pentacles. This card has a lady relaxed sitting in a chair on her front porch. Wearing summer clothes and drinking ...maybe tea? There are roses in bloom and lots of kitties running around playing.
I like this card. It makes me feel relaxed and like things are going to go good today.

Today I pulled the Elemental of Wands. This card has a little dragon on it sitting on a rock in a desert and is blowing fire out of his nostrils. The card makes me feel powerful.
It's meaning is: Essence of one's identity.

I pulled the 4 of Swords. This card was pulled upside down. The picture on this one has a girl laying down holding a sword upright and she staring at it. I feel as though she is debating on a problem
When I looked up the meaning in my book : It said this......Drawing on all mental resources. Searching for a solution to a problem. I looked up the card more on some online sites. I got this for a reversed card:

I have switched tarot decks. I felt the other one was not suiting me so well, though I like it for traveling purposes. I am now using the Llewellyn Tarot Deck...and love it!
Today I pulled the Eight of Swords upside down. I feel this card says that I am blinded by what is to come.
The real meaning: Reversed : Betrayal, Unexpected aggression. Threatening situation. Can represent illness. The need to be on guard.
After reading it...it explained alot. I have been very sick since yesterday. So it was nice to read that.

Pulling the 6 of Pentacles upright (thank goodness). In this card, there is a lady and small boy sitting on the side of the road. Another lady is standing next to them handing them money, while she holds scales. I feel like this is a donation card.
Meaning of card:
Sharing good fortune. The resolution to a problem. Receiving help, such as a timely commission. Charitable acts. Relief. The settling of a debt. Exchange. Entitlement. Rewarding someone for their effort. Supporting a cause or talent you admire. Balancing the scales. Restitution. Giving credit where deserved.

Pulling the 6 of Wands (what is with the 6's this week?). This card was pulled upright. There is a guy on a horse holding 6 wands. And in this card I feel that there is the need to wait and be patience.
Card Meaning:
Acknowledgement of accomplishments. Victory Parade. Accolades, admirers, and gratitude. Respect of one's peers. Contributing ideas to a group project or cause. Leadership and established reputation. Good standing. Recognized authority. Having the confidence of the community. A success being more than one had hoped for. A sense of satisfaction. An original, daring thought brings victory. Honors.
This card was nothing that I expected it to be.

Today I pulled another upright card. This time we have the Eight of Swords. This one has a lady in the ocean, she is caught in web, and bound and tied by a green seaweed. Around her is 8 swords. She is looking down and it is dark in the background. I feel like this card is meaning that there is a blinding to what is to come. Or not wanting to see the truth.

The card’s meaning per the book : Frustration and fear. Feeling powerless and at the mercy of outside forces. The controlling behavior of others. Unfair treatment. A pawn. Not having the ability to adequately protect oneself. Vulnerable to deceit. Scapegoat. Pleas falling on deaf ears. Being misunderstood. Being used. A temporary situation that will pass.

Today I pulled the Four of Pentacles. This card was pulled upright.  This card gave me no bad feeling at all. In this card there is a man facing us. He is sitting down. He has a crown on his head and 4 pentacles in the picture. One on top of his crown, one in his hand (which his hands are wrapped around), and two that his feet are placed on. On the ground there is flowers and in the background there is what looks to be some ancient buildings.

This card makes me think of holding on to something.

It’s meaning by my book says this:

Guarding one’s gains, whether they be possessions, property, or ideas. Overidentifying with one’s material wealth. Recalling resources. Closing accounts. Expanding in new directions closer to home or personal interests. Acquiring new possessions. Parading wealth. Danger of ostentation.
